Two new establishments in Thailand
3/10/10
The MGallery collection, already boasting the prestigious VIE Hotel in Bangkok, has added two new resort hotels, the Veranda Resort & Spa Hua Hin and Veranda High Resort Chiang Mai, to its portfolio. The MGallery collection, already boasting the prestigious VIE Hotel in Bangkok, has added two new resort hotels, the Veranda Resort & Spa Hua Hin and Veranda High Resort Chiang Mai, to its portfolio. The Veranda Resort & Spa Hua Hin, with its modern Asian architecture, enjoys a magnificent seaside location close to the traditional resort destinations of Cha Am and Hua Hin, frequented by the Thai aristocracy since the start of the century. Its 118 rooms and 9 villas offer a resolutely modern layout which capitalises on the hotel's surroundings and offers guests bright and airy spaces, some of them open air. The Veranda has two restaurants: the "Dining room" restaurant has a menu of Thai and western dishes which it serves daily. The "I Sea" waterfront restaurant will offer modern local cuisine with a seafood base. In addition to its cuisine, the hotel has a spa, swimming pool, 2 bars and a vast range of activities to make sure your stay is a memorable one. In the north of Thailand, Chiang Mai, a city rich in heritage, is today still known as the Capital of the Lanna Kingdom which was founded in the 13th century by King Mengrai. A few kilometres from the city of Chiang Mai, the Veranda High Resort Chiang Mai hotel is a veritable retreat in the heart of the mountains. Although of a resolutely modern design, the hotel has taken its inspiration from its natural surroundings. Separated from the outside world by a wall of the old city of Chiang Mai, the hotel is a peaceful haven, ideal for a relaxing stay in the heart of the surrounding mountains. Modern and traditional oriental styles come together to offer guests a taste of the different facets of Lanna's rich culture in a peaceful setting away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. With its own spa, pool, fitness centre, library, meeting rooms and a myriad of cultural activities, guests can travel without leaving Chiang Mai. And the Veranda High Resort Chiang Mai has a unique, intense character which subtly draws on the "rich simplicity" of its surrounding landscape.
